Quick, easy to use, and secure, Crippin not only encrypts files, it also compresses them.

Crippin runs on all versions of the Pocket PC operating system. Crippin is fast, small and uses very little memory.

Crippin encrypted files are generally less than half the size of the originals, so it can be used for compression too. If you only want to use it for compression, just leave all the password fields blank.

Crippin uses RSA encryption to ensure the data in your files is safe.

Use Crippin to hide data in spreadsheets, word processor documents, images, notes, or any other file type.

Crippin gives easy access to encrypted files, and makes it simple to re-encrypt them afterwards.

To help conceal the encrypted files from prying eyes, they are hidden, and so do not show up in File Explorer.

Crippin comes in two flavours: a full version which allows passwords of up to 255 characters, and a free version which truncates all passwords to 2 characters.

The free version provides fully functional file compression, but only limited security (enough to prevent access by toddlers and grannies, but not professional hackers).

Also available with a standard ActiveSync installer, for installation via a PC, or as a set of CAB files, for direct installation on the target device.
