Jayplayer is a music player for the pocketpc. The songs are really small and use sound synthesis as well as samples. A lot of demosongs are included but you can also make your own songs using Syntrax(http://www.klaar.com/). Jayplayer is also useful for developers to incoorporate music into their PocketPC titles.

This program has been tested on the HP Jornada 540 PocketPC and the
Compaq Ipaq Pocketpc.
We can not guarantee it too work on every PocketPC in the market.
If it does work, please let us know.

Installation instructions:

Copy jayplay.exe somewhere on your device where you can start it.
(e.g. the 'windows/start menu' or the 'program files' folder).
Copy the demotunes (.jxs files) into the 'my documents' folder on
your pocketpc


thats it... start Jayplay and play the tunes.

Additional notes:

Jayplay plays Jaytrax compatible files. Jaytrax can be downloaded
for free at: http//www.jaytown.com/jaytrax

If a song won't play correctly (lot's of hickups in the audio)
set the audio-settings to a lower setting. (lower frequency or
from stereo to mono)

Developer notes:

Jayplay can be used for your games/software too. You can use the
jayplay Active-X control or the Jayplay.lib Visual-C library.

The library contains commands to start and stop the songs (and
subsongs in songs, espacially for game over/highscore jingles), play
sound-FX (while the music is playing) and it fires callback
messages when certain events occur (songend/songloop/user callbacks)

Specifications:

Jayplayer plays Jaytrax compatible songs. It features upto 44.100 Stereo
audio rendering, advanced sound synthesis, samples, dynamic filters,
multiple subsongs per song, and songs can be really compact if one only
uses the sound synthesis.
